Course 7 - Allergens and Additives

Allergies are on the rise and so are allergen recalls. This e-learning session will educate the learner on the importance of allergen management plans; why they are important even if you think you do not have allergens at your farm or facility; how to control sources of allergens; and how to control foreign materials in your facility. 

By the end of this e-learning session you will know:
• why implementation of GMPs and HACCP is required to have an effective allergen management plan
• why having a developed system for the management of allergenic materials is necessary for regulatory and third-party certifications
• how to control potential sources of food allergen risk and manage allergens in your facility
• what a foreign material is, and how to control it in your facility
